I R A gradu8...almost

I stayed up late at work last night and finished the rough draft of my senior project. Now I just have to do some revisions with my mentor. Here is a link to my graduation info if you haven't all ready found it:

This weekend...and a goal accomplished!

We had a good weekend. It was rainy all day Friday (out of the ordinary for here) and pretty cloudy Saturday as well. Saturday I went for a long walk in the morning and Chad and I went to the movies in the afternoon. It was a perfect day to go to the movies. Then Saturday night we went and hung out with our friends Alan & Dawn at Dawn's house...always fun. Yesterday was a beautiful day...in the 60s-70s in the afternoon, sunny and no wind, so we went climbing after church. We went to a place that is pretty familiar to both of us and climbed two different routes. One of the routes I had tried twice before and had never made it to the top, and it has been one of my goals to conquer this climb sometime before we leave this place. Well...yesterday I made it! It's one of the more difficult climbs I have done, and I was so proud of myself! I even cleared the anchor and rappeled down. Of course we didn't have our camera. I know it's getting pretty old how we never have any pictures on here. Maybe I will make it a personal goal to get a picture of some kind up on our blog this week. Don't hold me to that. :)

Time for a new post

So this is what people do at four in the morning when they can't sleep and they have internet at their house. No wonder so many people are so sleep deprived. Anyway, in case you don't know, Chad and I are on our spring break. My sister had a list of all these productive things they have done or are planning to do during the break, and I am just not that motivated. So our week has gone something like this:

Sunday: church
Monday: sleep late, go on a short backpacking trip (one night)
Tuesday: hike back, recuperate (i.e. do nothing)
Wednesday: begin housesitting (hence the internet at 4 a.m.), go hiking, church
Thursday: play with dogs, watch TV, check email repeatedly just because we can, check blogs, hike again, take a nap since I couldn't sleep during the night
Friday: see Thursday
Saturday: see Friday

As you can see, we don't have a lot going on this week. This is a good thing. Part of the reason we are not doing much though is because Chad has had a horrible time with his allergies this week. Sneezing, congested, weepy eyes, the whole shebang. I have not seen his allergies this bad since we got married and especially since we moved to Arizona. He has not felt like doing much of anything, and I feel really bad for him.

We realize we haven't posted pictures in a while. We have been meaning to take some pictures of our new car, but it just looks like an '03 Civic Hybrid, light bluish silver, so if you really want to see it, search for it on Google images. I'll get around to posting some pictures of the real thing eventually.

The countdown is on!

I wanted to post this yesterday, but because of technical difficulties, I could not. If I had posted yesterday I would have said it is EXACTLY two months until Chad graduates from college, so today, I will say it is EXACTLY two months minus one day until Chad graduates from college. The time is flying by! Chad is working really hard on a lot of stuff. Keep him in your prayers as he finishes up this chapter in his life. We can't wait to see some of you in just a couple of months!
